My name is Thomas Burridge and I am the Libertarian Party candidate for Norwich North. I am eighteen years old and currently waiting to go to university.

At this point, most sensible people will probably be asking themselves what on Earth I know about anything!

Well, I know that the last twelve years of Labour Government have left my generation in massive debt, to the extent that we will be paying off their excesses for the rest of our lives. Future generations will inherit these debts.

Were we asked whether we wanted to be in debt throughout our lives? Certainly not!

Currently, the Tories and Labour are squabbling about cutting State spending by a pathetic 5% - spending that has left us with high personal taxes, squalid services and a corrupt Parliament.

LPUK want to scrap the whole rotten system and replace it with something better. I may not win this time, but I will be back in five years, and five years after that, and in another five years. The politicians who are responsible for getting us into debt will be wallowing in their generous pensions or may be long gone, but their legacy of debt will remain.

I am from the Debt Generation; only the LPUK has fresh solutions from a new generation.
